IWF BC Fraser Valley Day

Join IWF BC members Cathy Press of Chinook Helicopters and Brittany Manulak of Concept Plumbing & Gas for a delightful and educational summer social event in the Fraser Valley. Experience the excitement of aviation and the beauty of the Valley!

Event Highlights:

1.      Chinook Helicopters Tour: Begin with Cathy at Chinook Helicopters, located at Abbotsford Airport. Enjoy a walking tour of their impressive 40,000 sq. ft. facility, which includes two hangars filled with classrooms and a diverse range of aircraft. The tour will showcase both rotary and fixed-wing aviation training. For those eager to test their flying skills, a Level 3 simulator will be available.

2.      Abbotsford Control Tower Visit: Next, take a short walk to the Abbotsford Control Tower, one of Canada’s busiest and most technologically advanced control towers. From here, you’ll get a bird’s-eye view of the airfield and gain insight into the cutting-edge technology used by Nav Canada in air traffic control.

3.      Poolside Dinner and Entertainment: After the aviation tour, join us at Brittany’s home in Yarrow for a relaxing and fun poolside dinner. Enjoy a delectable meal prepared by R62, a local restaurant known for its locally sourced and seasonally inspired cuisine.
