NANCY LAUGHTON was Managing Director in the Vancouver office accountable for helping to grow the Lee Hecht Harrison Knightsbridge business in B.C.
Prior to joining Knightsbridge, Nancy was Senior Principal with KPMG where she led the Career Transition practice for five years. She spent her first nine years with Knightsbridge as Managing Director, Western Region, responsible for managing and growing the offices in Western Canada.
She began her career with a major Canadian financial institution where she served for 11 years in branch operations and human resources. Nancy’s background includes over 20 years consulting in the areas of career management, training and development, general human resources and executive search.
Nancy advised corporate clients on restructuring and downsizing procedures for individual and group terminations. She coached and counselled individuals, primarily at the Executive level, in the areas of Career Transition, Retirement Lifestyle Planning, and Independent Business. Clients especially valued her counsel in the areas of interviewing and negotiating skills. Corporate clients included a broad range of industries including forestry, financial services, energy resources, telecommunications, transportation, manufacturing, technology, tourism, government, engineering, advertising, media, retail, hospitality, and professional services.
Nancy graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and was a Certified Management Consultant. She was an active member of the BC Human Resources Management Association for which she has chaired many committees. She is a Director of the Board of The Vancouver Club and currently Chair of the Club's House Committee.
Nancy is Past Chair of IWF British Columbia and a Director of the IWF Global Board.
